Through multiple engagements with Nuvasive, FCS has provided full-stack development across the NuVasive enterprise. This has included:

• Reverse and Forward Engineering the legacy ERP implementation and Oracle-to-SQL stack to properly leverage REST API’s and for optimized database interactions, as well as numerous dramatic database schema optimizations across databases and servers.
• Leveraging the home-grown Polymer framework implementation used in the Back-Surgery assistance software, worked within the team on the X-Ray imaging and patient/table/C-Arm X-Ray machine tracking via creation of Quaternion libraries.
• Implemented enhancements across the full-stack in the domain driven design using the heavily modified Polymer front-end framework, Javascript, Bootstrap, Signal-R, SQL Server, C# 6 to access and render signal data provided by the JSON-oriented message services.
• Enhanced and created T4 templates for generation of the highly redundant layers and structures with domain driven design for significant coding and defect mitigation time savings, as well as the testing shells for the automated testing to provide the target 90% code-coverage
• Refocused to assist with the rendering of X-Ray images, including image manipulation, overlaying, resizing, etc. and “wiring up” appropriate controls in the UI as well as creating the quaternion math libraries used for C-ARM and Image Manipulation.
• Provided various enhancements across the DevOps tools, from SQL deployments to command-line/powershell routines, VSTS build optimizations and deployments.
• Optimized and when necessary rewrote MS SQL Server interactions for optimal performance and in prep for “cloud” support (Azure).

Forbes Media and Bridgepoint Education partnered to provide a new internet application for personal and business education, focused on career goals. FCS as engaged to design, build, deploy and support the cloud based Learn@Forbes e-learning platform for use across the B2B/B2C clients. The oversight board consisted of Forbes Media, Bridgepoint, Microsoft and LinkedIn executives. FCS was responsible for:

• Team building/management, design, development, verification and support of the successful Learn@Forbes e-learning platform based on client vision and product roadmap.
• Implemented Azure Hybrid-Cloud for production, Public-Cloud for Dev, QA and Staging environments leveraging Azure DevOps to provide complete CI/CD and gated release mechanics across the topography.
• Developed a wealth of integrations: social platforms such as LinkedIn for Certificate Badges, deep integration with Canvas LMS, machine learning integration for course recommendations, campaign management, A/B testing, to name only a few.
• Integrated OpenID Connect / Oath 2.0 leveraging Identity Server to support SSO and robust integrated Identity Management.
• Technologies used: C#, ASP.NET (MVC/API), .NET Core, Javascript/TypeScript, Angular, Bootstrap, SQL Server/Azure SQL Server, ADO.NET, Hangfire, ADO.NET, Entity Framework, numerous Azure IAAS through PAAS services, Git Repos
• Provided technical roadmap, technical budgets/burn control planning, technical executive management and reporting as needed for Forbes Media/Bridgepoint/Microsoft/Linked-In board members as oversight.

As part of the Inseego global ERP consolidation/migration effort, FCS Consulting was contracted to port legacy back-office services and private Web Apps to Azure using C# and ASP.NET MVC. As Inseego struggled under the weight of “vendor overload”, scope creep, and no in-house technical and management capabilities, the engagement quickly morphed to FCS driving most of the global migration effort. FCS provided resources to assist in global program and project management across US, Europe, Africa and Australia. Ancillary projects were also tackled by FCS including migration and training for the CRM migration to Microsoft CRM, SharePoint Migration/Automation and Oracle migrations to NetSuite (in concert with 360 Cloud Solutions). FCS also developed Azure LogicApps/Function Apps, NetSuite to SQL sync jobs, numerous micro-services, Informatica implementation, to name only a few projects.

At the executive level, FCS also implemented and coordinated for Inseego additional controls and projects such as:

• Implemented Executive Oversight Committee, Change Control Board and UAT prep across the global ERP migration vendors and in-house efforts.
• Staffed several project-focused teams, the Program/Project Management team and provided C-Level coordination with the client on schedule, budget and roadmap.
• Provided direction with vendor interactions/coordination including unified messaging on dev, test, UAT and release planning and multi-phase rollout planning.
• Implemented Payment plans for client, resource pool adjustments to align with shifting budget allocations and other budget related coordination.

Global Dynamic Device Support and Control

The client (SONY) has numerous types of devices, such as cameras, televisions, Speakers, Movie players and recorders, to name of few, sold and supported globally. Many of these devices support Near-Field Communication or can provide a QR Code for the device. F.C.S. was engaged to architect and implement a solution that will enable to enterprise to provide a single mobile and PC support application that can interact with each device based on the device capabilities, allowing each device support “unit” in SONY to independently publish their device specific identification scripts and analysis, control and/or support information. The application leverage Near-Field Communication when applicable or QR Codes, sending identifying information to a web end-point which queried the “system” (via the scripts provided by each device support department) for their next set of options and commands to present in the calling application. Menu option selections or automation client-side commands could request additional commands from the server, relative to the department provided self-identifying scripts. For example. A user would use their SONY mobile app to scan the QR code that their SONY TV would display. The mobile app would send the QR code to the SONY support server. The server run the list of support identification scripts provided by each SONY department to identify which script could provide support for that device. The next related set of scripts would be performed to support the options for the next set of support, such as providing an link to the device manual OR automatically interrogating the TV to determine its current settings, such as noticing that the volume is too low and providing an option to turn up the TV volume via the Mobile App. (Patent: US 9,444,518 B2)

In-Surgery Automation for Complex Surgeries including X-Ray manipulation, potential nerve intrusion detection among other features.

Surgeons can take hundreds of X-Rays during complex surgeries, such as back surgery. As a result, these surgeons regularly suffer complications from radiation exposure, many times these doctors die young as a result of these exposures. As part of the team, F.C.S. assisted in developing the application to assist doctors in these surgeries, everything from scheduling to planning and ordering equipment needed for the surgery as well as surgical support. Some features included placement of and monitoring of electrical signals sent across specific nerves to detect and warn the surgeon if they are getting too close to a specific nerve during the surgery. Additionally F.C.S. provided assistance in the manipulation of the various X-Rays collected during the surgery, allowing the software to automatically stich together X-Rays as well as overlay subsequent X-Rays. This allows the surgeon to dramatically reduce the intensity of subsequent X-Rays up to 90% - providing a much safer environment for the entire surgical team.
